Pretty Buttons for Summer Knits?

Have you had a chance to look around the Fact File at George Weil?

We've added pages to get you started with both polymer clay and Art Clay silver clay and the simple techniques will have you hooked in no time!

A great project to start with is Button Making with Polymer Clay, written by expert Sue Heaser. Once oven baked, polymer clay is a durable and versatile material for making buttons. You can choose the exact colour to match your yarn or you can create faux stone effects such as jade. It is even possible to simulate metal using metallic powder or by adding foil to the surface.
